Cari Hitchcock is a storyteller, singer, and creative visionary whose life is filled with music, travel, and imagination. A graduate of Loma Linda University, Cari has spent her life blending artistry and adventure — from songwriting and design to children’s storytelling that inspires wonder in young readers.
Her passion for The Adventures of Baby Brown Bear grew out of her travels with her husband, Russell Hitchcock, lead singer of the legendary band Air Supply. Together, they’ve turned real-life adventures into heartwarming picture books that teach courage, kindness, and curiosity.
A proud mother of three — Joshua, Jordan, and Claire — Cari’s greatest joy comes from inspiring others to see the world through the eyes of a child. She believes that kindness is the simplest and most powerful thing to be, and she hopes each Baby Brown Bear story helps children dream big, explore new places, and find beauty wherever they go.
When she’s not writing or traveling, Cari enjoys singing, designing, and spending time with her family. Her stories are a love letter to children, families, and the incredible world that connects us all.
